Marketing: Launch a Software Product
Grades: 9 - 12

This workshop offers student teams the hands-on opportunity to dream up their own software product, one that addresses a perceived need in the recreational sports market, and to develop a marketing plan. After a brief introduction, the pre-determined CEOs from each school recruit their teams. The companies will then figure out the questions -- and then the answers -- that need to be addressed. The students will be encouraged to marshal their creative efforts in developing and experimenting with their marketing instincts. Despite moments of frustration, hard work and negotiation, students arrive at the end of the day realizing they have strong marketing instincts.
